Latest Land Rover Car Leasing News & Blog

Questions and AnswersQuestionHI I am looking for a brand new Landrover Range Rover Sport 3.0 SDV6 SE Auto, 10000 miles a year for 2, 3 or 4 years depending on the price.

AnswerThe Landrover you picked is not available. There is higher specs Evoque available and some other similar 4x4 vehicles if you are interested let me know?

QuestionOn the website, it has it as being in stock. Which Range Rovers do you have available? Not the Evoque.

AnswerWould you be interested in an ex demo, nearly new or used Landrover deal? Obviously the longer the lease and smaller the engine and older the car the cheaper the price per month.

Can you narrow it down to something you like so I can get you a firm quote, photo, etc

QuestionYes. Have you got the actual list of what you have available? Also do your leases allow us to put our private number plate on it.

AnswerYes you can put your number plate on the vehicle. I will send you the list.

QuestionHi, I am the Trustee for Paragon Capital Trust and was looking for a Landrover Range Rover for my wife. Can you find me something nice?

AnswerAs this is a prestige vehicle lease, you will be contacted by my specialist partner who hopefully can get you a Range Rover like this.

QuestionThank you very much for you response on a Sunday, I look forward to speaking with your specialist partner, we may require two vehicles as to be honest we owned last year 17 cars and now I have sold them all and have lost so much money buying new prestige cars like Range Rovers and Bentleys BMW etc that leasing seems to me to be the way to go, all my business partners advised me to do this so here we are. I am if you require I am happy to pay 6 to 9 months in advance for the Range Rover and the second car so as you are aware , if not and only 3 months is required then that is also fine. I look forward to speaking to you soon, again thank you for your response on a Sunday . Enjoy the rest of your day

AnswerThat is a lot of vehicles to own. It's my shift to work on a Sunday. Unfortunately I cannot give you any firm prices today as the offices are closed. By the way we also do ex demo prestige cars, with either 10 miles on the clock or a few thousand and the prices are far cheaper as you won't be paying difference in the residual value. Would you like me to email you some ex demo cars deals?

QuestionYes I know, my weakness is cars watches and cloths, I drive my wife mad but then she is a Competition Event rider and my horse power is cheaper to keep than hers ha ha. Our house looked like a Super car and executive car showroom, we have all undercover parking and 24 hour security surveillance at the property so everything is very safe. So yes please if you could that would be great thank you very much. Thanks for the heads up, I made the mistake last year of buying everything new and to be honest it makes no real difference does it. Look forward to receiving the list, how soon are the cars available after payment and paperwork, please as the wife is looking at a new Discovery 4 or Sport for her to take to competitions while the horses travel in the lorry.

AnswerYou have been scheduled to be contacted today and provided with some good ex demo deals for you to evaluate.

QuestionI would like to lease a Range Rover Sport 3.0SDVS HSE - I do not mind an ex demo model 10,000 miles p/y over a 3 or 4 year period I can put between £1.5 to 2.5k - give me your best quote please incl vat? Looking at the offers you have it states that the model is "previous design" which I take it to be the previous model? it's the new one I am interested in please - I'm looking to go less than £600 on a personal with as I did mention a £1.5 to £2.5k deposit, 3 or 4 years duration, 10k miles per annum. As there some very competitive deals out there presently - if you can see what is as near as possible appreciated.

AnswerThese offers are one of many Range Rovers available and yes it is the previous model and that is why it is so cheap. There is no such thing as a brand new design Range Rover for less than £600 a month. It would be more like £800 to £1200 a month. However, there is the previous model for less that £600 a month. Up to you really which one you would like to lease.

QuestionI'm after some cars and my interest is for Landrover, Qashqai, Kuga, Sportage etc also can you explain in one of your answers why you can take out a 48 month contract and hand it back after 2 years or change it?

AnswerIf you have a good credit rating then you qualify for a return back or swap the lease after 2 years for an ex demo vehicle only. These ex demo vehicles are from our own fleet and the terms are more flexible. There will be some moneys involved as there is a difference in price for a 4 years lease verses a 2 year lease. Hope that makes sense? All the vehicles you mentioned are in stock except the Sportage.

Question Thanks for that. Yes please give me a quote for the ex demo. My credit rating should be pretty good as I've had a loan for probably for 20 years or more and very missed payments etc.

QuestionI am after a Landrover Range Rover Sport 3.0 SDV6 SE Auto model, can you help?

AnswerIs this landrover your only choice? Would you be interested in an ex demo Landrover lease vehicles if the price was right?

QuestionDepends on how new it is and the cost I have £720 inclusive of vat to play with each month, I did see a black one on your webpage that had 10 miles on 13 plate but it was a 4.4 which will probably be more than the £720?

AnswerThe 4.4 SDV8 Vogue 4dr Auto is one special 4x4 and the price isn't too bad as it is around £1,500 a month inclusive of vat.

QuestionCan I have if for £720?

AnswerCome on be serious now the Vogue is brand new with just 10 miles on the clock and it is way over your budget. However, there are a few ex demo within your budget with 2011 plates, 14,000 on the clock. The lease works out around £500 to £600 a month.

QuestionI've found a demo vehicle that I want to acquire. Its an InfinitI FX50 and it currently available at InifinitI in London. its OTR is £62,000 and I can pick up the car for £54,000. The car will cover under 10,000 miles per annum and am looking at a 3+33 month deal without maintenance. Is this something you can do?

AnswerYou are looking at £1,000 deposit as a minimum, maybe more will be required depending on your credit history and approx £1,700 a month for such a FX50 vehicle on a HP deal - you get to own the car at the end of the lease. Is this something you can afford to pay back? If you don't mind me asking you, why an InfinitI FX50 - you could have a BMW x6, Land Rover or something similar from our ex demo fleet.

Question£1,700 a month? Is that over 36 months? I wouldn't want to pay this.... Regarding the vehicle choice I like big engined cars (last cars have been Mercedes CLS63 AMG, Porsche Cayenne Turbo, Range Rover 5.0 Supercharged) so if you have something like this then I'd be interested in seeing some quotes.

AnswerAs I said you are better off leasing a Super Charged Land Rover, Porsche or BMW X6 for as little as £516 a month and that includes the VAT.

QuestionI'm a bit new to leasing, what is the difference with HP verses PCP??

AnswerYes that is how much the payments would be because as it is a HP deal (you own and keep the car at end of the lease) where if you took a lease as a PCP then you have to give the car back. That would save you a significant amount of money.

The reason the lease is so high for the Infinity FX50 is because you are asking us to finance a vehicle from another dealer and it is not a good car to lease as you too can see it does not work out very well with the monthly payments.

I would recommend you lease one of the ex demo prestige vehicles that we would suggest to you because we have done extensive homework and we know that these cars keep their value and are worth more at the end of the lease. This lowers the payments for you. Also we would happily take back the car at the end of the lease and give you another car or you can just walk away.

I hope this all makes sense?

Should I proceed in putting you in touch with our specialist department who will offer you some big engine vehicles that are available at really lower prices?

QuestionThe intention would be to hand the car back at the end of 3 years and just start again. This is essentially my everyday work horse so its not really about ownership. Very happy to look at some big engine vehicles alternatives.

AnswerIn that case, I will get you in touch with our prestige vehicle department that can help you with such vehicles. You will be contacted by one of the team members.

QuestionHi, I work as an engineer in London but I don't have any credit history. Can you help me?

AnswerAre you on the Electoral (able to vote in the UK)? Have you lived and worked in the UK for at least 3 years or more? Are you a home owner or do you rent?

QuestionI'm from Mexico so I'm not on the Electoral. I have been in the UK since September 2009. First year as student. I got a job in February 2011 and I have been working for the same company since then. I have been banking with Lloyds since September 2009. Hope this enough but please let me know if you need more information.

AnswerThanks for the info but you have to be registered on the Electoral as a minimum because the funders we use for finance will check your address against this.

If you are not a UK citizen then the next best is to be a EU citizen from one of European Union countries, like Germany, France, Spain, etc or a country from the British Common Wealth like Australia, South Africa, India and so on or from one of the British dependent territories like Malta, Gibraltar, Virgin Islands, etc.

I'm afraid Mexiko is not one of the countries that qualify for the Electoral. I believe if you have the right to stay in the UK and your Visa permits you to work then I believe you can register to vote (local council elections, vote for Mayor and Police and Crime Commissioner, but not Parliamentary elections as in to vote for a Prime Minister). Ask you local council if you can register?

You need to have a permanent address first of all, Visa and the right to work in the UK. Then when this has gone through, get yourself a UK credit card. I'm afraid you will have to wait a few months, use your card wisely and spend and pay back money. This creates credit history, but first you must get yourself a BT landline at the property you are living also get a utility bills in your name. Then a UK mobile phone contract. Once you have all this in place then you will get on the ladder for credit and a car lease.

Was this info helpful for you? Do you need anything else I can help you with?

QuestionWow, that was very useful information. I will get right on it. thank you!!

QuestionI want to lease a Land Rover Evoque, 10-12k ideally 24 month lease on cheapest Evoque that you have - my budget is £250

AnswerThere is no such thing as an Evoque for just £250 a month.

QuestionWhat is the best price you can do then?

AnswerThe Evoque you picked is £284 + vat making it £341 per month or more depending on the type of lease. However, I'm afraid you need to have excellent credit history, lived and worked longer period at the same address, a higher income and a higher budget. Is this your only choice or do you have other vehicles in mind within your budget? or would you like me to quote you on something similar which you could have?

QuestionMy company is also vat registered so I shouldn't have to pay vat is that correct? also I was thinking of forwarding my emails to your managing director and ask him to give me a call please and just in case you are doubting any of the content written in this message I am more than happy to provide him/her with a copy of the log books for all my vehicles.

AnswerThat won't be necessary to show us your past cars that you have leased. It really is down to your credit history. Also, a business lease is when your company leases the car and is subject to the company's credit history. If you are paying for the vehicles out your own pocket then it is a personal lease. If the company is vat registered then of course you have to pay vat. All prices are plus vat where ever you go. The difference is if you lease the car in your business name then you get a portion of the vat back. If you lease it as personal hire then you charge your business the business miles and you get tax return. Maybe it is best to ask your accountant for some advise?

QuestionFirstly I would like to give you a little bit of background information on me; I am a European Operation Director of a corporate blue chip company. My European office is based in Berlin, Germany. Running alongside of that I opened a business almost a year ago and over the past 12 months out of my own pocket I have supplied that business with 15 cars that business now pays me a return of £1800 per week NOT per month.

AnswerYou said your monthly income was £1200 so I went by with what you stated.

QuestionThen I guess it was my own fault that I felt the way I did. Sorry. We are now opening a second business and on my accountants advice she told me to sell the cars and use that cash to fund the second business rather than fund it out of my own pocket.

AnswerSo is the Evoque for you or someone else?

QuestionThe range rover Evoque was for my manager I have an Audi A8 sat on my drive which replaced my Range Rover Vogue last year. So how would this effect you well after the range rover for my manager, in April I will be looking to lease at least 15 (maybe 20 depending on how the new business grows) 3 series BMW s or Vauxhall insignias also I want to go back to a range rover Vogue leased this time not bought.

AnswerAs I said your original email was very short and not much to go by.

QuestionTrue, the information I gave you was very rushed as I was trying to get back to the UK I am a very busy person with the corporate business let alone dealing with my own business and I didn’t need a lesson on vat of course I know you have to pay vat and reclaim it what do you think I have been doing for the last twelve months.

AnswerI will get an adviser from the prestige vehicle department to help you get a suitable car within your budget, but it will not be a brand new Evoque but a second hand one, as your budget is not enough. Maybe if you can increase it to £500 to £600 we can get you a brand new one.

QuestionI did assign my accountant to manage the whole thing but he had gone to another company that did not bother to ring or communicate with him or me as they won't as such an approachable leasing company. Thank you for all your help, I look forward to receiving a good deal from you.

QuestionHI can can you find me an Evoque offer for less than £400 a month, including the vat?

AnswerI'm afraid the Evoque you picked although listed it is not available as the offer expired. However, there is a brand new Evoque Coupe with higher specs but with the vat it costs £589 per month. We can only get the price down if you offer a bigger deposit. Is this your only choice or would you consider something similar - maybe an ex demo Mercedes ML 4x4, which is nearer to your budget and it requires just a little deposit?

QuestionI want to lease the Evoque that I picked. The cheapest one possible.

AnswerI'm afraid the Evoque you picked although listed it is not available. Is this your only choice or have you other similar cars in mind that work out well on a car lease?

QuestionYes it is. All I want is the Evoque. Will you be getting anymore?

AnswerWe do have some in stock but not the cheapest one that you picked. There are a few with higher specs available and price a bit higher. Would you like me to track you for a quote?

QuestionWill you be getting the one in that I asked for a quote on? I wanted to pay £300 maximum.

AnswerWould that be with or without the VAT for £300 a month?

QuestionWith the VAT

AnswerI'm afraid there is no such thing as an Evoque for just £300 a month.

QuestionYour website said £284 including VAT. You obviously do that to entice people to get a quote.

AnswerNo, not really. That is £341.94 with the VAT? That is not £300.

QuestionOK So I was being stupid, for £340 then, can I have one?

AnswerDeals come and go, and when they go they go and some people think that its some sort of marketing gimmick. Well it isn't. There were Evoque at that price a few months ago and they have all got snapped up by some lucky customers. Also before you go back to the website and look for more offers you need to understand the logos. Like the Evoque that is out of stock.

QuestionYou have just contradicted yourself. You just said there is no such thing as a Evoque for £300 a month then said some "lucky customers" snapped them up for that price months ago. If that's the case it should be advertised on the website anymore if it's not available lol absolute joke. So Steve thanks for your time but I can't be bothered to read your rubbish any longer.

AnswerWhat is it you don't understand? Did you read the note about the in stock and out of stock logos? I'm trying to be clear here and you are making fun of me? There was an Evoque for £341.94 which all got snapped up - so I am not sure where you are seeing the £300 price?

QuestionHi, I'd like to lease an Evoque, 10000 miles per year my budget is £320 I want an Evoque only at that price and don't mind second hand as I do know a brand new one costs far more. I'm running a limited company and to be honest my credit history is shocking.

AnswerAs you are a limited company the funders would require excellent credit history to be able to lease a brand new Evoque. The same will apply if you lease it as a personal lease. You mentioned your budget is £350 for the Evoque? Is that with or without the vat? if with the vat then I'm afraid your budget is not enough either. However, you could be able to lease one of these cars: Juke, Qashqai, Captiva, Kuga, BMW X1 and some other similar vehicles.

QuestionOK - I would be wiling to pay a large deposit would that make any difference? Are the prices on your website excluding VAT?

AnswerSorry even a bigger deposit will not change the funders mind, it is down to the credit history that they look at. All business prices are plus vat and personal include the vat.

QuestionWhat would be the difference if I took it our as a personal hire then and not business hire?

AnswerDepends on how your personal credit history is like? good or poor?

QuestionMy business credit file is poor my personal credit file is Fair.

AnswerAs I said the funders require 3 years accounts to allow a ltd company to lease or you can take a personal lease but then that is not good or excellent. I'm afraid the Evoque will not be an option. As I said you can have something similar like a Kuga, BMW, Nissan, Suzuki plus some other 4x4 type vehicles.

QuestionHi, I would like the Range Rover Sport 3.0 HSE, 4x4, Sat Nav, 20in Alloys, Heated Seats (Used Previous Model) for 2 or 3 years 2nd car choice any other 4x4 considered automatic.

AnswerHi, sure will give it a try but as you have bad credit history this might not be an option.

QuestionJust a quick message to say that no one has contacted me yet, can you please advise

AnswerAlthough we help people with bad credit history, are you aware of any issues with your credit history file that is preventing you leasing a car?

QuestionI've never leased a car before so I don't know what you would be looking for. There are issues with my credit history, no ccj or bankrupts or anything like that just late payment histories due to the marriage split. although all is fine now they do prevent me from getting finance which is understandable. I did choose your company because you advertise you can help people with bad credit. But as I say I have never had finance for any car before or even leased a car. I hope you can help ? I can provide bank statements etc if that is any help to you?

AnswerYes we do help people with bad credit history. I'm trying my best. : )) As I cannot look into your credit history file, have you seen it lately? If not, you need to see it and clean it up because something in there is the cause and the reason preventing you from leasing and or financing a car. Have a look and let me know what you think is causing the problem? I hope this info helps? I look forward to your findings and resolve.

QuestionHi thanks for your reply , I'm taking from what you have said you cannot get me a leased car? I did say at the outset I have a bad credit history. I've not looked for a while but I know it will be during the time of my separation there was dispute with a lot of money matter and I have mortgage arrears. They have been resolved but it's still on my file. I was also not working due to illness and that had an effect in my personal finances as well.

I have been able to get 2 credit cards and maintained them well all with good payment history. I'm working towards cleaning my file up but certain things won't leave the file for a few years. It also does no help to have too many searches, that's why I've not applied for anything in a few years except my credit cards. I'm now moving forward with my businesses they are thriving and I have not borrowed a penny to finance anything, but there is still going to be a history.

I appreciate very much that your trying your best, but I'm guessing you cannot source anything for me? Would u be able to let me know one way or the other?

Thank you for your time

AnswerMaybe if we tried something not as expensive as a Land Rover? How about we pitched you for a Chevrolet Captiva 4x4 or a Qashqai or similar. Main thing is to get you approved for the finance side of the vehicle then once you get your foot through the door and onto a car lease then when a couple of years have gone by and you prove you can repay the car lease you can then exchange the car to something like a Land Rover or similar? Would you like me to give it a try? No credit search will be conduct at this point.

QuestionYou can try but I'm really not interested in the cars you mentioned, so if it's really is going to be too difficult then maybe I will just have to wait. I'm obviously not in your industry so I do appreciate your expertise and your comments, but if u think you can't get a lease for that kind of car then I don't want you to waste you time. I didn't realise the type if car would be the difficulty I thought it would be the credit history but as I say I really don't no anything about leasing I just no that my budget now can afford between £600 - £800 p/m for a car. I had that kind of car before but that was paid cash and sold during the settlement of the finances in my marriage. I will leave it with u and if u can let me know.

AnswerWith bad credit leasing the more likely finance agreement would be a Hire Purchase which means you pay to keep the vehicle. For a vehicle like the Land Rover Range Rover Sport an arrange price would be £95,000 to buy one of these and if you were to Hire Purchase this over 4 years that would make the payments £1,979 a month plus interest.

QuestionWhat about if I was to lease a used Land Rover?

AnswerEven for a decent used Range Rover Sport the average price is £55,000 and that will make the payments £1,145 a month plus interest. However, you said you want to lease this vehicle over 2 years. Then that will make the payments double, as in £2,290 a month plus interest. So, as you can see the prices are way over our monthly budget, the reason you were not approved and hence why I'm trying to steer you away.

QuestionNow I understand how it works.

AnswerAs I said, if you want to try and go down the route of leasing another similar vehicle then I'm happy to try and help you further.

QuestionIn that case, can you provide a quote for something like a Chevrolet Captiva, Kia Sportage, the Qashqai or anything in those lines?

AnswerSure that will not be a problem. Except some quotes in your email inbox.
