Questions and AnswersQuestionI am a Consultant in the Manchester University NHS hospital and am interested in a NHS lease car option. Can you please inform what the price would be for a GLC Mercedes auto diesel car for 24 months NHS contract? My budget is approx £200/month.

AnswerI'm not sure where you got the price for the Mercedes GLC at £200 a month. The Mercedes GLC we have on offer is promoted with a guide price of £269.98 + vat = £323.98. Your £200 a month budget will not get you a vehicle like this. There is no such thing, not even a used vehicle. Can you increase your budget to £320 a month or should we look at other cheaper vehicles?

QuestionI could increase my budget to £270 for the GLC (max price, after vat), if this is interesting from your part.

AnswerNot sure what you mean? after vat? If you mean £270 with the vat then I'm afraid no deal because this car normally is leased at £370 to £400 a month and we are offering it for just £323 per month.

QuestionYes plus the vat as I own a limited company and can use the invoice for my expenses.

AnswerIn that case, of course we can make you an offer.

QuestionI'd like to lease a Mercedes-Benz A Class Diesel Hatchback A160. What is your best price?

AnswerI'm afraid the Mercedes you picked is not available. Is this your only choice or would you consider other similar vehicle like the nearly new or ex demo which work out cheaper?

QuestionMaria Thanks for the response, do you have the Mercedes-Benz A Class Diesel Hatchback A160 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY Classic SE as an ex-demo then? If so please quote for 9+23months at 20k pa.

AnswerThere are no A class available. They cost too much to hire and the market is too competitive. We have other similar but better deals. Would you like to see something similar?

QuestionCould you care to share which deals you consider "better"? I'm looking for a 24 month lease, 20,000 miles per year. The car has to be a diesel with 50mpg+ fuel economy and ideally less than 110gm CO2 (i.e. £20 per year road tax group). I'd be looking at a 9+23 lease pattern of £300 per month (inc vat) or less.

AnswerI can understand you are looking for a fuel economy vehicle but why pay 9+23 when you could be paying 1+47 and save a fortune?

Example 9+23 x £300 over 4 years = £19,200 where 1+47 = £14,400. that would save you £4,800 over the lease period.

The best cars we have on offer are the ex demo cars on a 48 month lease but you can return of swap every 2 years. The question is what ex demo car to offer other than a A Class? You need to tell me a few other cars you like and then I will see if I can get them for you.

QuestionI was only going for 2 years as some of the best deals I've seen were cheaper that way. Of course I would prefer a 4 year lease if it actually cost less money!

In terms of car I am flexible. My requirements are as follows: Diesel Manual or Auto (I don't mind) 50mpg+ Less than 110 CO2 / £20 tax band (or Less than 120 CO2 at a push)

Something like the Mercedes C220 Coupe SE BlueEfficiency, BMW 320d SE, Ford Focus, Mazda 6 Saloon 2.2d SE-L Nav, Volkswagen CC 2.0 TDI. I have found another lease company offering a Mercedes C220 Coupe SE 2.2 diesel for £239.99 inc vat on a 24 month lease (around £2000 initial payment). Hope that helps give you an idea of what I'm after.

AnswerI'd glad you now understand that the 9+23 or even the 6+23 are a bit of a rip off. Would you consider ex demo deal by the way on the vehicles you mentioned? You could save even more money and be driving a better and higher spec vehicle for less money?

QuestionYes I don't mind an ex-demo vehicle. 24 month deals aren't necessarily a rip-off if the overall cost is lower, which I have seen in some instances. The length of the deal doesn't bother me too much, I'd just like to reduce the overall cost. Look forward to receiving some prices from you.

AnswerI know what you mean. I will work on the cars you mentioned and pick one for now. I will resubmit your request for your first quote. Then when you get your first quote you can discuss the deals, options and best prices with my colleague who specialise in the finance side of things. Hope you get a really nice car.

QuestionCan I have a firm quote for a brand new Mercedes C Class, any good model? However, my credit is pretty shocking.

AnswerI'm afraid the requirements are that customer need to have fair, good to excellent credit score to lease a brand new car like a Mercedes. Is this your only option or would you consider a used model or other similar ex demo suitable vehicles that are in stock and work out far cheaper?

QuestionI only want a nice Mercedes.

AnswerI'm afraid the main dealerships only lease to people with squeaky clean credit history and mainly to business users. Sorry that is what Mercedes finance requires. If you have bad credit you would have more chances of leasing a car if you picked something from the ex demo range.

QuestionOh, I see, What diesel cars is there to pick from?

AnswerHow about an Avensis, Passat or an Insignia?

QuestionI don't like any of them, I want something that looks sporty.

AnswerHow about one of our ex demo or slightly used Mercedes? we have plenty of offers available.

QuestionI am not being picky don't you want to get great feedback like when buying something new you have such good reviews about how helpful you are? I was only looking for a car I would like I did not know I could not do this whether I had good or bad credit history.

AnswerSorry if I upset you, but I did not want to give you any false expectations. The cars are specific for bad credit leasing. From experience people with bad credit are only allowed certain cars, like the Fiesta, Astra, Focus, Kuga, BMW, Mini, Zafira or the Insignia and some other cars too.

You will not be offered a prestige car like a brand new Mercedes, unless you put down several thousand pounds deposit and then it will depend on the funder's final approval, not mine. Sorry I don't make the rules. Also how many people do you know that are still working and helping people on a bank holiday evening? That is why I said, sorry I cannot help you, unless you are willing to be flexible too?

QuestionOK in that case I will look at the ex demonstrators that you have on offer, that can be an option. I can be flexible we can talk again Tuesday sorry for disturbing your evening have a nice weekend thanks for your chat and enjoy the rest of your night.

QuestionI'd like a new Mercedes E Class, prefer the E220 CDI model. Probably a 2 year lease is required. My miles per year are 25000 to 30000 per year and I have poor credit history.

AnswerI'm afraid the funders require customers to have good credit history to be able to lease a brand new Mercedes. However, if you would like to lease a second hand used Mercedes or a similar car like a BMW 3 or BMW 5 Series then this can be an option. You may like to look at the used, ex demo and 0% deposit sections of our website to get some more ideas.

QuestionLooking to get comparison - other option is E class pre facelift model 250 cdi sport at £325 inc vat on 3/35 on 10 k miles. Please confirm if you can match or beat this quote from vehicle solutions.

AnswerSorry cannot do Mercedes lower than that price. We tend to lease similar BMW models at much lower prices than what you were quoted. If the Mercedes is your only choice then I would go for the offer you were made.

QuestionI'm thinking of leasing a car this time round, but not sure if I should lease brand new or ex demo. Can you put some light into this for me please?

AnswerAlthough we list the latest car models on our website, it doesn't mean we have them in stock. Only if there is a green logo next to the deals that indicates they are in stock. We tend to lease ex demo. If you were to lease the previous model we have a few of those.

QuestionThanks very much. OK, the older model may be acceptable but I am trying to work out the best way. I have the cash to buy one outright but don’t like the hassle of selling. The deal below shows a cost of 17K over the 3 years but I can pick one up for about 20K and it’s resale value will certainly be substantially over 3K after 3 more years. Do you have any specific spec, age or mileage that makes your car a higher value? Can you quote a specific car with details above and I can check it out buy / hire as a direct comparison. I have two friends that have just hired BMW5 series brand new 20D eco with extras and 15K p.a Fully maintained and their monthly charge is £480 after 3 months deposit (the contract is over 5 years though!) I don’t want o waste your time so if you can just send a quote through I will do the digging and then get back to you. I assume these do not have maintenance included?

AnswerAre you taking into account the interest? £20,000 after 4 years at today's rates that would be something like paying back £4,000 or more in interest. What I'm talking about is a 2 years old top of the range with spoke wheels, camera, dab radio etc. The value of the car is £26,000. The lease is over 4 years not 3. That makes the deal £4,500 deposit and £360 per month - total of £21,780 and the car is estimated to sell at the end of the lease for £8,000. That is a total of £29,780 or £3,780 interest over the 4 year period. If you have the cash, why don't you just lease new on a PCP and then at the end of the lease hand the car back. If you kept the car in good condition you would have some equity and cash back which you can use for your next car?

QuestionThanks very much for the details. I will look into this. To be honest, I have a mental block when buying or leasing brand new cars because the depreciation is so high and of course, it is built into the costs. That is why I liked the sound of your business as you can lease ex-demo or nearly new cars so the depreciation element of the costs would be lower. Many thanks, I’ll be in touch in a few days.

QuestionHello there, I am looking to contract hire a Mercedes for 24 months, I have poor credit history due to a messy divorce, I work in full time permanent employment and make an annual salary of £48,000. I have been offered finance to buy a car but I would rather lease a newish car, I would be grateful if you would look into this lease for me. Many Thanks

AnswerTo lease a Mercedes clients need to have squeaky clean credit history. You will have more chances of leasing a car if you pick one from the featured vehicles on this list. https://www.time4leasing.co.uk/ex-demo-cars/

Or you can email me something else you like?

QuestionI hope I have looked at the right list, as you have a Merc C class on there? If not likely then would I be able to get one of the BMWs?

AnswerSorry, but the Mercedes C Class yes it is listed but if you note it is not in stock at the moment and as I said you need to have good credit history and a deposit too.

I'm not sure what your monthly budget is and how much deposit you have. As I know it, bad credit history and prestige cars do not mix, because the funder will only provide a certain amount of money which will probably cover a car like a Fiesta, Focus, Astra or Insignia to name a few cars. If you want a newish BMW or similar car you would have to raise a significant deposit to cover the difference. Can you provide something like £2,000 £5,000 for a deposit?

QuestionI am afraid I don't have a deposit of that amount - would the mini convertible also be a problem? If so not to worry, I will probably have to go down the finance route until my credit history gets better. Thanks for your time and speedy responses

AnswerThe Mini convertible can be an option. I will resubmit your request and you will be emailed further instructions.

QuestionI'd like to lease a Mercedes, second choice would be a BMW but I would much prefer the Mercedes on a low budget for some one who is self employed and has a ccj Against me Are you able to help me in my position I have been turned down by other car company. Can you let me know whether you are able to help some one in my position and running his own business.

AnswerYou would have more chances of leasing a BMW as the terms are more flexible.

QuestionHi, I'm a business owner and was looking to lease a Mercedes C Class Saloon C180 BlueEFFICIENCY Executive model. Have you any good deals?

AnswerI'm very sorry there is no C Class available at the moment. Is this your only choice or would you consider other similar vehicles?

QuestionThats disappointing it was the C CLASS I was after having had one before. What do you suggest was ? what else is available and please leave a link so I can have a look.

AnswerWe could get you an ex demo C Class if that is what you want but that could take a bit of time. In the meantime I want to put you in touch with the department that deals with more upper market cars like the Mercedes, BMW, Audi and so on but need to narrow down your car choice. Would a BMW 3 or Insignia be of interest along with the Mercedes?

Questionex demo would be fine depends how long before you can obtain one etc Not really bothered about a BMW or Insignia.

AnswerI'm not sure about your budget. Insignia would work out approx £200 a month depending on the model and the BMW 3 around £350 to £400 a month depending on the model. please pick and I will get you a firm quote

QuestionSorry I must have confused you, when I said I am not bothered about a BMW or a Insignia I meant I did not want one. Our budget is the same for the C Class if you need to know.

QuestionHello, I own an Italian restaurant and would like to lease the new Mercedes A Class. Is this the new model you are advertising?

AnswerIf you don't mind me asking, are you British or foreign?

QuestionI'm Italian living in England.

AnswerBefore we proceed any further, can you please email me and let me know the following?

1) How is your credit history?
2) Have you lived in the UK for at least 3 years?
3) Have you worked in the same job for the past 3 years?
4) Have you got a UK or EU driving license?
5) Do you have a UK Bank account?
6) Have you got at least 2 bills in your name showing your current address?
7) How much deposit can you pay up front if needed?

QuestionI can say yes to all the questions and I have £3,000 deposit but my credit history is really bad.

AnswerWe have a solution for everyone but I would need to know where your finances are please. When you say your credit is not so good, what do you mean? Have you missed payments in the past? Have you defaults, CCj's, IVA, bankrupt or DMP?

QuestionMy current finances are great but I have past CCJ's.

AnswerSorry for a new Mercedes the funder would require good credit history. However we can look into an ex demo Mercedes or maybe one of these? Focus, BMW 1 or 3, Astra, Insignia, Golf, Zafira, Fiesta?

QuestionIn that case can you quote me on a BMW 1 please?

AnswerSure thing, please check your email.

QuestionIs this the new shape E class you are leasing? I'll need 10k miles yearly, 24 or 36months. on the car i would like parking sensors front and rear, electric door mirrors. Could you include what the initial payment would be including vat please? I don't have a deposit.

AnswerHi, I'm afraid if you want to lease a brand new Mercedes you will have to provide a deposit and if you are to get the monthly payments down a deposit of £2,000 to £5,000 in most cases is required.

QuestionHave you any other similar cars that don't require a deposit or if require a deposit a small one? maybe something like £500 or so?

AnswerYes there are such deals for the Mercedes M, BMW 3 series and some Audi's. Also for Vauxhall, Fords and Nissan.

QuestionI'd like to lease a Mercedes C 220 but I don't have a big deposit. Can you help?

AnswerThere are deals where the new Mercedes C 220 CDI Executive SE will require a £5,141.57 deposit and £309 per month over 36 months (vat is included). Even if you went directly to a Mercedes dealership showroom that is how much they will ask you to pay. If you told them you only had £1,000 deposit then the monthly payments will go up as the difference is spread into the monthly payments on top you pay the interest too. We have exclusive deals and deposits are far less. As low as £300.

QuestionWhy is the prices for the Mercedes C Coupe SE on your site stating £715 deposit and £287 a month? Sorry I am just asking.

AnswerI'm afraid deals come and go. That deal has a little grey logo next to it and is used as a price guide. It doesn't mean it is in stock and at that price. The cars that are in stock are the ones with the green logo which says IN stock. Those cars with green logos are more or less the prices that you will be quoted, like the ex demo cars - which most of them are in stock.

QuestionThat's great, you did say about the BMW 3 series was in my price range. I was wondering if the BMW 1 series coupe is in my price range? I know what the BMW 1 series looks like and size but I would have to go and have a look at a BMW 3 series I dont like my car to be to big! Thanks

QuestionHi would I qualify for business rate and pay the vat if I use car for work and get mileage allowance or do I have to go for personal lease thanks

AnswerTo qualify for business rate (guide price + vat which you cannot avoid) you have to lease the car in a company name and the company owns the car and lets you drive it. Your company would have to qualify for a lease if the company is healthy and in business for several years and have a clean credit history. It is far easier to take a personal lease. You have to pay the vat. Everyone does.

QuestionHello, I receive 2 full pensions and my bank statements will show over £2k per month. I have a Merc c 200, 2008 however the rear seats are too small due to a new arrival. We can put down a nice deposit. I am interested in Merc E class, Audi A6 and the Jaguar XF

AnswerI'm sorry the Mercedes you picked although listed it is not available anymore because the offer expired. Also Mercedes would require you be employed and have squeaky clean credit history to lease. Is this your only choice or would you consider something similar like an ex demo BMW 3 saloon or 3 Series Estate or a BMW 5 Estate if the price was right?

QuestionYes I would consider a 5 series. I was wondering if you had any Audi's. Either the A5 or A6. We will be able to put down a nice deposit of about £3,000 if that helps. We just want something bigger then our Merc C class, we need to be able to fit 3 child seats in the back. We would also be interested in a Lexus IS or a large Mazda. Sorry to go on, just thought I would give some options. Price wise we are looking at about £450 a month :) Thanks for your reply I look forward to hearing from you.

AnswerI have ask the guys to contact you with a quote.

QuestionHow old is the car that would he leased?

AnswerIt would probably be a 2011/12 plate and approx 15,000 to 20,000 miles on the clock depending which one you have, still smells new inside and comes with free BMW servicing up to 2016. The guys will tell you more but is this something you would consider?

QuestionI have just been looking at the BMW 5 Series online and they have really good reviews and a lot of room so yes I suppose we would be interested in it. Just on the off chance do you have any Audi estates or Volvo estates! That BMW 5 series car does look great though.

QuestionHi, I am looking to lease a Merc SLK, I do something like 12000 miles per year my credit history is not that good due to a failed business some years ago but I am in full time work now and can provide healthy bank statements, I have a limited company as well which is around 6 months old and can also provide healthy bank statements for this too. Please advise as soon as possible.

AnswerI'm afraid to be able to lease a brand new Mercedes SLK the funders require excellent credit history. However, could look into an ex demo Mercedes SLK, if we go down the route of a business lease and your Limited company, then the funders require 3 years accounts. As you are a new business then we would have to go down the route of a personal lease and rely on your personal credit history. We can look at your latest bank statements for proof of current earnings and affordability but this can only be achieved if you are the sole director of your limited company.

QuestionA used Mercedes SLK is fine and that was what I was hoping for to save some money but still drive something nice, I am the sole director of the company but as mentioned earlier this was only registered 6 months ago

AnswerSure I will track you for a quote but be patient as it will have to be handled by our subprime department.

QuestionHi, I'm looking for a Mercedes CLS on a good offer, can you help?

AnswerSure, I will get one of our partners to contact you.

QuestionHi, Thanks for the response, I'm at the proposal stage however I have been told that the car I applied for is not actually available through your partners but would be available by you if I was accepted on a lease ? So I'm confused I applied for a used Cls which I am now being told is over £400 per month which is quite a jump. Not really sure what is happening but concerned that the deal I was quoted for may have not been available in thirst place, sorry to be a pain in the arse but seems there is little cohesion in terms of what I was quoted on initially ... Not sure if you guys can help the guy at your credit partners with the car advertised ?

AnswerYou were probably told this as we have several partners with same cars but different offers. The Mercedes second hand CLS that is featured on the time4leasing website is based on a used CLS with Reg. 2007 and 67000 on the clock. That is why the price is so cheap.

The next best offer is for a second hand CLS with 2011 reg and 42000 miles on the clock - this one has a price guide of approx £500 and price varies depending on customer's credit history and type of lease agreement that they will be accepted for.

Which one were you offered?

QuestionHi again, the CLS I was offered was a 2013 plate and done 19000 miles.

AnswerThen I guess that is a super offer if you think about it as the car is nearly brand new.

QuestionI would had preferred the second option leasing a used Mercedes CLS... I would have proffered the first option .. On cost. I have asked them to see what else they have of that nature, if they can so the cls which I presume would be in good condition then would probably take it, unless there is another option for the same price.

AnswerIf leasing a used Mercedes CLS is what you are after, then I'm confident that the guys can track down a car for you and tie it in with the finance side of the lease. Your account manager works for one of our leading partners and work with a nationwide network to source cars and deliver. Do work closely with your account manager as I am confident they have something special for you at a really cheap price.

QuestionI have been in touch with your partners and they have said they are getting several problems with potential customers contacting them with costs you are advertising which are just not feasible and this a waste of everyone's time You advertise the Mercedes £677 personnel on 3 plus 47 10000 miles and this is not accurate as no one can meet this deal thus wasting people's time Please confirm why you are showing costs that cannot be met?

AnswerYes we can meet this price and actually beat it for a brand new vehicle direct from the dealer, however, the conditions are the customer must have excellent credit history and prove affordability. I believe your credit history is poor which will effect the payments. Would you like me to put you in touch with a main Mercedes dealer? However, I do believe they will reject your application because they only deal with excellent credit history, where our partners will help customers even with poor of bad credit history. To add to the misuse of the time4leasing website, the listed Mercedes CLS that you are referring to is not in stock and not available at the moment.

QuestionIt is an S class you are advertising not a CLS, please look at your site and confirm again

AnswerApologies for that. Now I see where all the confusion has come from. I was working on an offer for the CLS and mixed it up with the S Class. I have notified our marketing team and they have updated the prices to reflect the current market. So I guess the guys were right - however they didn't know we only just now updated the prices. Also we have update the S Class (used model) to say Out of Stock. Sorry this deal is not available any more and we do not have any deals available. If our suppliers cannot get you a S Class I'm sorry we do not have any other supplier to get you one.

QuestionThe S Class is way over my budget. Have you any other similar cars at a better price?

AnswerYes ww do, we have several Audi A8 Quattro for less than £500 + vat per month. I will send you some quotes.

QuestionMorning, I have come across your web site and I am interested in a personnel lease for up to 2-3 years, How ever I would rather speak to a rep over the phone if possible. My contact number is....I am wanting further information on your criteria and availability please.

AnswerHi, I note that you applied with us last year and looking at your notes in your latest application, I do not think you are going to lease a car like a Mercedes or BMW for less than £200 a month. However maybe we can get you a used Insignia or similar car for that kind of money. Before we call you please advise, regards Steve

QuestionHi Steve, the prices on your web site seem to indicate you have 50% discounts going on vehicles of such makes and models. What types of checks do you carry out, do you go on affordability or credit scoring. Could you possibly send me details of the insignia then please.

AnswerWe do not do any credit checks at the quoting stage. However, once everything is in place we do need to know what yoru credit rating is like which will determain the final monthly payments.

QuestionDo I get an extra discount?

AnswerThe prices displayed are already discounted. You have been tracked so to be contacted by an advisor. You should have received a confirmation email stating who will contact you.

QuestionOk thank you. Your prices are good as they are anyway. I'm looking forward to your rep to contact me.
